Day Activity Services Program
- Who: Adults 18 years+ with Intellectual Disabilities
- Where: Meet at public pickup/dropoff location
- When: Monday - Thursday (8:30am-2:30pm)
Respite Haus offers dayhab services designed for persons who:
1) have intellectual disabilities (LON 1 or 5),
2) are emotionally and physically well, and
3) show behavior within acceptable guidelines.
Please note, we cannot accept the following:
1) Clients requiring one-on-one supervision.
2) Participants with uncontrolled seizure disorders.
3) Medical conditions needing G-tubes, feeding pumps, baclofen pumps & incontinence.
4) Smoking (tobacco, smoke-less, and e-cigarette type) is not allowed.
Meals
Participant may bring a lunch (no microwave required) daily if desired. Due to the nature of our type of dayhab services, off-site, we don't have readily access to a microwave. A popular alternative to the typical "sack lunch" sandwich is Lunchables. In addition, they don't require any prep work for you!
If you choose, you may purchase lunch wherever we eat for that day.
Occasionally, lunch will be provided for you.
(A snack is provided if we eat lunch later than normal.)
Activities
- Monthly calendars are distributed before the beginning of each month summarizing the proposed activites for each day. At times, we may have to make changes or adjust according to the weather, etc., but for the most part we align with the schedule. In addition, it's super fun tailoring our day according to who is attending and what they enjoy doing!
